Thurman C. “T. C.” Lockerman, 84, of Winterville, Georgia, passed away Thursday morning, April 7, 2016, at the Quiet Oaks Health Care Center, Crawford, Georgia.

Born May 1, 1931, in Dooley County, he was the son of the late Allen Harrison and Brightie Clover Burgess Lockerman. He was the brother of the late Edgar Lockerman, Eva Franklin, and Annie Lee Lockerman.  He was a longtime resident of Red Hill, Georgia, and was a veteran of the U.S. Marine Corps. He was a salesman with Farmers Hardware for 40 years and later sold for Monroe Hardware and Hammerhead Sales of Carlton, GA. He was a member of the Allens United Methodist Church.

Survivors include his wife, Betty Watson Lockerman, Winterville; son and daughter-in-law,  Rev. Allan and Alice Lockerman,  Cleveland TN; daughter and son-in-law, Diane and Greg Banks, Arnoldsville, GA; five grandchildren, and three great-grandchildren.

Services will be Saturday afternoon at 3pm at the B D Ginn Memorial Chapel of Ginn Funeral Home, Carnesville, with the Rev. Johnny Ray. Interment will be in Franklin Memorial Gardens.

The body is at the Ginn Funeral Home. The families are at their homes. They will receive friends from 1pm until 3pm Saturday afternoon at the funeral home. Flowers are welcome  but those wishing to make memorials please do so to the Lewy Body Dementia Association Inc, 712 Killian Hill Suite C 202, Lilburn, GA 30047.
