Roger D. Edmonds, 68, of the Red Hill Community, passed away Sunday evening, April 24, 2016, at the Athens Regional Medical Center.
Born October 10, 1947, in Toccoa, GA, he was the son of the late Dan Nelson and Janie Nell Massey Edmonds. He was retired from Coats and Clark and was a member of the Tates’s Creek Baptist Church.
Survivors include his wife, Jo Ann Whiten Edmonds; three daughters and son-in-law, Pam and Steve Demos, Jefferson, GA, Kim Williams, Toccoa, GA, Jane Davis, Texas; son and daughter-in-law, Rusty and Karen Edmonds, Baldwin, GA; five grandchildren, Jason Demos, Callie Demos, Ricky Edmonds, Kayleigh Stableton, and Amber Davis; and two brothers and sisters-in-law, Ronnie and Mary Edmonds, Toccoa, GA, and Randy and Rochelle Edmonds, Gainesville, GA.
Services will be Wednesday afternoon at 2pm at the B D Ginn Memorial Chapel of Ginn Funeral Home, with the Rev. Jerrell Beatty. Burial will be in the Hunter’s Creek Baptist Church Cemetery, with committal by Rev. Jeff Adams.
The body is at the Ginn Funeral Home, Carnesville. The family is at the home. They will receive friends from 6 until 8pm Tuesday evening at the funeral home. The family asked that in lieu of flowers, memorials be made to the American Heart Association, the American Diabetes Association or to the Tates Creek Baptist Church building fund.
