Don Forester

William Donald “Don” Forester, 79, of the Red Hill Community, passed away Saturday morning,  July 30, 2016, at his residence.

Born November 17, 1936, in Carnesville, he was the son of the late John A. And Ilene Hood Forester.   He was the owner operator of ECHO Restaurant, and a farmer.  He was a member of the Tom’s Creek Baptist Church.

Survivors include his wife Betty South Forester; one son and daughter-in law, Mark and Gwen Forester of Martin; two daughters and sons-in-law, Donna and Steve Reed of Martin, and Linda and Mickey Hill of Martin; six grandchildren, Matthew Reed, Caroline Reed, Jonathan and Nathan Forester, Anna and Austin Hill; three great-grandchildren, Korbin Reed, Hannah and Eli Payne; brother and sister-in-law, Bobby and Diane Forester of Carnesville.

Services will be 4pm Monday afternoon at the Cross Roads Baptist Church with Rev. Wayne Marcus.  Interment will be in the church cemetery.The family is at the home. They will receive friends from 2 until 4pm Monday afternoon at the Cross Roads Baptist Church.  Condolences may be left at ginnfuneralhome.com.

    I was so sorry to hear of Don’s passing. He was a good man. I always enjoyed coming to Echo and seeing you all and getting to know you at Tom’s Creek.

  10. Met Don over 15 years ago in Panama City Beach –Coral Reef Condos. In fact for many years we were next door neighbors. Always enjoyed his company. He loved his family and wife Betty so much. I will miss him and offer many prayers for his special family who are deeply grieving his loss.
