Robert McKinley “Bob” Fitzpatrick, 81, of Carnesville, passed away Sunday evening, October 9, 2016, at his home.
Born February 13, 1935, he was the son of the late Ralph Gardner and Eva Lou Tiller Fitzpatrick. He was the husband of the late Patricia Ann Williams Fitzpatrick and the brother of the late Donald Fitzpatrick. He served in the U S Air Force during the Korean War. He was the owner and operator of F&F Enterprises, a grading and heavy machinery operation and Bob’s Chevron in Carnesville. He was a former Franklin County Commissioner and a member of the Carnesville Baptist Church.
He is survived by son and daughter-in-law, Mike and Lisa Fitzpatrick, Gastonia, NC; daughter and son-in-law , Donna and Glen Stinson, Greensboro, NC; grandchildren, Alex & Karen Nario, Atlanta, and Adam Fitzpatrick , Gastonia, NC; great-grandchild Giselle Nario; brothers Jim Fitzpatrick, Ila, GA, and Ed Fitzpatrick, Florida; one sister Faye Hopson, Afton, TN.
Services will be Wednesday morning at 11am at the B D Ginn Memorial Chapel with Rev. Ben Jordan. Interment will be in Cross Roads Baptist Church Cemetery.
The body is at the Ginn Funeral Home. The family will receive friends from 6 until 8pm Tuesday evening at the funeral home. Flowers are welcome, but those wishing to make memorials may do so to the Carnesville Baptist Church.
