Nellie Jo Peeples
Nellie Jo Thacker Peeples, 81, passed away Tuesday evening, May 9, 2017, at the Brown Health and Rehabilitation Center, Royston, GA.
Born March 2, 1936, in Stephens County, she was the daughter of the late Richard “Rich” and Emma Zora Farmer Thacker. She was predeceased by brothers-in-law Ed VanAlstein and Clinton Sheriff. She worked at Milliken for 25 years. She was a member of the Price’s Chapel Church of God.
Survivors include her husband Hugh Peeples; son and daughter-in-law, Alan and Becky Peeples, Carnesville; daughter and son-in-law, Christy and Lanier Bridges, Canon; six grandchildren, Tyler, Tanner, Tucker, Madison, Luke, and Paisley; brother and sister-in-law, Ken and Teresa Thacker, Toccoa; two sisters, Pat VanAlstein, Eastanollee, and Betty Jean Sheriff, Martin; many loving nieces and nephews.
Services will be 2pm Friday at the B D Ginn Memorial Chapel, with Rev. Johnny Stowe. Interment will be in the Oakview Cemetery, Canon, with committal by Rev. Todd West.
The body is at the Ginn Funeral Home, Carnesville. The family is at the home of her daughter and son-in-law, Lanier and Christy Bridges, 580 Cawthon Davis Road, Canon. They will receive friends from 6 until 8pm Thursday evening at the funeral home.
