Melba Jean Ayers, 79, of the Plainview Community of Carnesville, GA, passed away at her home Thursday evening, October 21, 2010.
Born August 24, 1931 in Carnesville, GA she was a daughter of the late Hoyt and Cora Culpepper Addison. She was wife of the late Grover Wesley Ayers; mother of the late Kathy, Mike, and Tim Ayers; a sister of the late Jo Ann Maxwell, and a niece of the late Ora Culpepper. A wonderful cook and seamstress, she had retired from Orbit Manufacturing. She was a member of the Hunter’s Creek Baptist Church.
She is survived by two sons and daughter-in-law: Ricky & Renee Ayers, Carnesville, GA; Randy Ayers, Carnesville, GA; three daughters and son-in-law: Carolyn Childs, Carnesville, GA; Donna Ginn, Royston, GA; Lynn & Sid Ginn, Carnesville, GA
¬¬¬two sisters and brother-in-laws: Pauline and Eulan Pendley, Roswell, GA; Frances & Joe Williams, Carnesville, GA, brother-in-law: Wallace & Thelma Maxwell, Royston, GA
; nine grandchildren: Brandon & Gina Ayers, Kayla Holder, Carla Ayers, Stephanie & Anthony Capozzoli, Tina Ginn, Timothy Ginn, Tony Ginn, Kim Childs, Brandy & Gabe Crespo, Emily Garner, John Lee & Bridgett Ginn; great grandchildren: Taylor Cape, Braden Capozzoli, Colby and Lyndsey Ayers, Breanna Ginn, Daniel Pulliam, and Kaydence Lee.
Services were 3pm Sunday afternoon, October 24, at the Hunter’s Creek Baptist Church with the Rev. Ben Huff and Rev. Tommy Childress. Interment was in the Union Ground Christian Cemetery.
