Mark Macomson

Mark Lane Macomson, 62, of Carnesville, passed away Tuesday evening, February 27, 2018, at the Piedmont Athens Regional Medical Center.

Born January 13, 1956, in Royston, Georgia, he was the son of the late D W and Elise Bennett Macomson. He was the brother of the late Sammy Macomson.  He was a farmer and a member of the Liberty Baptist Church.

Survivors include his wife Wanda Floyd Macomson; two sons and daughters-in-law,  Josh and Cheryl Macomson, Athens, GA, and Dustin and Melinda Macomson, Royston, GA; four grandchildren, Zach, Kase, Ella, and Elise; beloved sister-in-law, Shirley Macomson, Carnesville; nephews, Eric Macomson, Dion Macomson, Brian Macomson, Kevin Ballenger, Jason Ballenger, and Randall Ballenger; nieces, Heather Lundy, and Lynsey Floyd.

Memorial services will be Saturday at 2pm at the Liberty Baptist Church with Rev. Leon Carson.  The family will receive friends from 1pm Saturday until the funeral hour at the church.  The family request that in lieu in flowers memorials may be made to the Liberty Baptist Church or to a charity of their choice.     Wanda I am so sorry about Mark. Mark was a great man and I have always considered you both my friends. I pray that the Lord will comfort you and your family during this sad time.
