James “Jim” Craft

James William “Jim” Craft, 89, of the Middle River community, passed away Wednesday evening, November 19, 2014 in Lawrenceville, GA.

Born September 25, 1925, in Hart County, he was the son of the late Ed and Nellie Herring Craft. He was the brother of the late Fred Craft. He was a graduate of Franklin County High School in Carnesville and was a retired material analyst with General Motors. A veteran of the U S Army, he served as a combat engineer in Korea, and was a member of the VFW Post 4706 in Decatur, GA. He was a member of the Glen Haven Baptist Church.

Survivors include his wife Kances Macomson Craft; two sons and daughters-in-law, Ronald and Bonnie Craft, of Decatur, GA and Bryan and Laurie Craft of Grayson, GA; seven grandchildren and six great-grandchildren.

Services will be 2pm Saturday afternoon at the B D Ginn Memorial Chapel with Rev. Paul Jameson and Rev. Kenny Davison. Interment will be in the Franklin Memorial Gardens.

The family will receive friends from 6 until 8pm Friday evening at the Ginn Funeral Home, Carnesville. Flowers are welcomed but those wishing to make memorials please do so to the Middle River Baptist Church Cemetery Fund, 540 Hwy 326, Carnesville, GA 30521.
