Kenneth “Ernie” Vandiver

Kenneth Howard “Ernie” Vandiver, 71, of the Red Hill community, passed away at his home, February 19, 2015.

Born May 3, 1943, in Red Hill, he was the son of the late Edward Wesley “Ed” and Ella Elizabeth James Vandiver. He was the brother of the late Steve Vandiver. He was a farmer and was a member of the Broad River Baptist Church.

Survivors include his son, Nathan Vandiver and daughter Gwen Moeller,  both of Iowa; two sisters, Dorothy Boutwell and Patsy Knotts , both of Phenix City, Alabama; one brother James Vandiver, Red Hill; grandchildren, Allison, Tyler, Cody, Alexis, and Nathan Jr.

Services will be 1pm Saturday at the B D Ginn Memorial Chapel with Rev. Truitt Brawner. Interment will be in the Broad River Baptist Church Cemetery.

The body is at the Ginn funeral home. The families are at their homes. They will receive friends from 6 until 8pm Friday evening at the funeral home.
