Faye Bishop Reid, 80, of Carnesville, passed away Sunday morning, March 8, 2015 at the Ty Cobb Medical Center.

Born June 5, 1934 in Marietta, GA, she was the daughter of the late William Morris and Nell Kathleen Bentley Bishop. She was the widow of the late James “Jim” Reid and the sister of the late Wayne Bishop. A native of Marietta,had worked at Lockheed in Marietta for 17 years.  She and Jim moved their family to Franklin County in 1969 and were active in farming and the local Farm Bureau. She was an active homemaker and worked at Bargain City in Carnesville.  She was a member of the Gateway Believers.

Survivors include her son and daughter-in-law, Jimmy and Vickie Reid, Carnesville, two daughters and sons-in-law, Carol and Ted Wilson, Carnesville, and Susan and Bradley Hart, Royston, six grandchildren, Jay and Brandy Reid, Shawn and Brad Cleveland, Matt Reid and fiancée Mallory, Mandy and Ryan Mewborn, Faith Hart, and Corey and April Hart; four great-grandchildren, Keller Cleveland, Colby Hart, Mackenzie Hart, and Dakota Hart; one sister, Donna Jean Baxter, Marietta, GA; two special ladies, Louise Fleeman and Juanita Myers; several nieces and nephews.

Services will be 2pm Tuesday at the B D Ginn Memorial Chapel with Pastor Bill Avant, Rev. Kenneth Hendrix and Rev David Coker. Entombment will be in the Franklin Memorial Gardens.

The body is at the Ginn Funeral Home. The family will be at the home. They will receive friends 6 until 8pm Monday evening and 12 until 2pm Tuesday at the funeral home.
