Clide Ellen McConnell
Clide Ellen McConnell, 85, of the Plainview Community, passed away Monday evening, March 16, 2015, at the Hart Care Center, Hartwell.
Born April 9, 1929, in Hart County she was the daughter of the late Earl and Cleo Louise Cotton Bibbs. She was the widow of the late Harry McConnell, mother of the late Jean Yearwood, grandmother of the late Austin Lee Hardwick, and mother-in-law of the late Melvin McFarlin. She was a homemaker and poultry farmer. She was a member of Bethany Baptist Church in Hart County and had attended New Bethel Baptist Church where she had been active in senior activities.
Survivors include three daughters and sons-in-law, Katherine and Craig Worley, Carnesville, Brenda and Larry Brown, Lavonia, and Janice McFarlin, Carnesville; seven grandchildren and thirteen great-grandchildren; one brother, Charles & Sue Simmons, Cleveland, GA; three sisters, Ann Shockley, Toccoa, Fern Meaders, Baldwin, and Judy & Otis Alexander, of Cleveland.
Services will be 2pm Thursday at New Bethel Baptist Church with Rev. Duane Eller. Grandsons will served as pallbearers. Interment will be in the New Bethel Baptist Church Cemetery.
The body is Ginn Funeral Home. The family is at their respective homes. The family will receive friends from 5 until 8pm Wednesday evening at the funeral home.
