Thomas Coy Hyde, 69, of Hartwell, Georgia, passed away Friday morning, April 24, 2015.

Born December 6 1945 in Carnesville, Georgia he was the son of the late Johnny Robert “J R” and Magnolia Corn Hyde. He was the brother of the late Charles, Joe, David and Bob Hyde. He was an avid fox hunter. He was a retired welder and had worked for CFI and NVF metal fabrication companies of Hartwell, GA.

Survivors include his wife Sarah Frances Goldsmith Hyde; son, Robert Hyde, Royston; daughter, Kathy Henry, Royston; four grandchildren, James Henry Jr., Jonathan Henry, Jessica Henry Lunsford, and Chance Hyde. and four great-grandchildren, Dakota, Wyatt, Sarah, and Lawson; one sister, Louise Hyde, Carnesville, three brothers, Roy Hyde, Ernie Hyde, and Johnny Hyde, all of Carnesville, GA.

Services will be 3pm Sunday afternoon at the B D Ginn Memorial Chapel, with Rev. Fred Greenway. Interment will be in the Hopewell Presbyterian Church.

The body is at the Ginn Funeral Home. The family is at their respective homes. They will receive friends from 5 until 7pm Saturday evening at the funeral home.

    So sorry about Coy. He was a wonderful friend to Ronald for many years. In 2001 he had some puppies. My daughter and I each bought one. We still have them. I have wished many times I had bought all of them. Again so sorry about Coy.
