Raymond Glenn Miller, 79, of Carnesville, passed away Tuesday morning, May 12, 2015, at his home.
Born March 17, 1936, in Benham, KY, he was the son of the late Jackson Givens and Della Hensley Miller. He was the brother of the late Walter Miller, Bernice Benard, Edna Peavley, Mary Lou Couch, Ruth Voyles Isom, and three infant siblings. He was a tool setter
and had retired from Scovill Manufacturing in Clarkesville, GA. He was a former pastor at the Toccoa Missionary Baptist Church. He was a member of the New Bethel Baptist Church.
Survivors include his wife, J. Irene Smith Miller; son and daughter-in-law, Raymond and Angie Miller; daughter and son-in-law, Kim and John Taylor; three grandchildren and grandsons-in-law, Jennifer & Anthony Cox, Jessica & Greg Neeley, Joshua L. Miller; four great-grandchildren, T. J. Cox, Reilly Cox, Jase Cox, and Joanna Neeley; sister, Lois Brundage, Remington, VA, and sister-in-law, Arbutus Miller, Pt. St. Lucie, Florida.
Services will be 11am Thursday morning at the New Bethel Baptist Church, with Rev. Tommy Childress, and Rev. Wade Bridges. Interment will be in the church cemetery.
The body is at the Ginn Funeral Home, Carnesville. The family is at the home. They will receive friends from 6 until 8pm Wednesday evening at the funeral home.
