Ray Miller, of Ila Georgia, passed away Saturday morning, October 10, 2015, at the Athens Regional Medical Center.
He was born in Eau Claire, Wisconsin on January 24, 1942 to William and Dorothy Miller. He was the brother of the late Marion Miller and Curtis Miller of Carpentersville, Illinois. He was a veteran of the Korean War, specializing in tank mechanics and retrieval. He was a mechanical engineer, designing and installing textile machines in the U.S. and abroad. He was a loving husband, father, and grandfather, and will be deeply missed. He was a deacon at Franklin County Church of Christ in Franklin Springs, Georgia.
He is survived by his wife of 52 years, Sharon Miller; Daughters and sons-in-law, Lisa (Mike) Little, Ila, Georgia; and Michelle (Erik) Griswold, Comer, Georgia; six grandchildren and one great-grandchild; one brother, John Miller, of Texas, and sister Roxanne Miller, Carpentersville, Illinois.
A memorial service will be held Saturday afternoon, October 17, 2015, at 2pm at the Franklin County church of Christ, Royston, GA.
