Blaine “Yank” Weller, Sr.



Blaine Allen “Yank” Weller, Sr., 61, of Carnesville, passed away Wednesday evening, October 21, 2015, at the Athens Regional Medical Center.

Born February 25, 1954, in Philipsburg, Pennsylvania, he was the son of Wanita Marie Hanscom, and the late Thomas Richard Weller, Sr. He was the father of the late Brandon A. Weller. He was a Diesel Mechanic and was a member of the Indian Creek Baptist Church.

Survivors include his mother; three sons, Blaine A. Weller, Jr. Lavonia, Jed A. Weller, Carnesville, and Raymond A. Weller, Carnesville; brother, Thomas R. Weller, Jr., Julian PA; two sisters, Lillie B. Richards, and Joy K. Argo, both of Julian, PA; Half brother and sister, Travis Weller and Tamara Spurlock, both of Elberton, GA; companion, Karen “Woman” Andrews; grandchildren, Jasmine, Olivia, Raven, Layla, Farah, Devin, and Dustin; great-grandchild, Ava Grace; lovingly accepted grandchildren, Trinity “Worm”, Cora, Logan, Sean, Rain, Jayden, and Alysia.

Services will be Saturday morning at 11am at the B D Ginn Memorial Chapel with Rev. Nate Bunner and Rev. Curt Duncan. Interment will be in the Indian Creek Baptist Church Cemetery.

The body is at the funeral home. The families are at their respective homes. They will receive friends from 6 until 8pm Friday evening at the funeral home. Flowers are welcome but those wishing to make memorials please do so to the St. Jude’s Children’s Hospital, 262 Danny Thomas Place, Memphis TN, 38105.
