Geneva Madge White King, 90, of Carnesville, passed away Monday morning, November 16, 2015, at the Brown Health and Rehab Center , Royston, GA.

Born November 1, 1925, in Carnesville, she was the daughter of the late Thomas Edgar and Pearl Fulghum White. She was the widow of the late Brunel Albert King and sister of the late George White. She was a supervisor with Carwood and Stone Manufacturing for over thirty years. She was later a nursing assistant for Brown Memorial Convalescent Center in Royston and Young at Hart in Carnesville. She was a member of New Franklin Christian Church.

Survivors include son and daughter-in-law, Billy and Sara King, Carnesville, GA; Brenda and Mike McClure, Mayesville, GA; five grandchildren, three great-grandchildren, and a number of step grandchildren and step great-grandchildren; one brother, Charles White, Hartwell; two sisters, Sue Carson, Carnesville, and Lorene Sorrells, Hartwell.

Services will be Wednesday afternoon at 2pm at the New Franklin Christian Church with Carl Beckham, Rev. Leon Carson, Rev. Dale Carson, and Rev. Charles White. Interment will be in the church cemetery.

The body is at the Ginn Funeral Home, Carnesville. The family is at the home. They will receive friends from 5 until 8pm Tuesday evening at the funeral home.


  1. Brenda, I hope you will remember me. I was Teresa Bennett when I attended New Franklin Christian Church (and played the piano there for a number of years). I remember your parents quite well, and of course, you, your Aunts Sue Carson, and Lorene Hambrick. Please accept my sympathy on the passing of your Mother.     So sorry to learn about Madge. She was a wonderful supervisor, mother, and a friend to everyone.
