How We Can Help

Since 1917, Ginn Funeral Home has paid tribute to the time-honored traditions of the Franklin County community.

For three generations, our family has served our friends and neighbors in their time of need.

Our professional and caring staff takes pride in providing high quality and affordable funeral services that meet the special needs of your family.

We offer a complete range of quality services from funerals to cremation, and are experienced at honoring many faiths and customs. We invite you to contact us with your questions, 24 hours a day, 7 days a week, and we are glad to meet with you at your convenience

It is our goal to support you through every step of your arrangements and to pay tribute to the special memory of your loved one.

First step when Your beloved dies

Whether you have fully preplanned for a family members passing or if it is sudden, there is always a sense of stress and grief.  It is especially true when a loss comes unexpectedly.  And amongst all this loss and anxiety it has caused, is the confusion of what to do next.  It is during this overwhelming time that the first step is to contact us and ask us to help.

At this time we ask a few questions and then begin to organize your wishes with care and compassion that we are known for.   During your first contact we will use our long experience and qualifications to make suggestions on what to do next.   In even simple services there always seems to endless questions and details, but it is our goal is to guide you one item at a time and  simplify what seems to be a complicated process.  Your grief is enough to deal with at this time. When you call us we take worry of what to do to properly honor those you have loss, and provide the services, compassionately and professionally.

Value of Pre-planning

To help relieve their families, an increasing number of people are planning their own funerals, designating their funeral preferences, and sometimes paying for them in advance. They see funeral planning as an extension of will and estate planning.

Thinking ahead can help you make informed and thoughtful decisions about funeral arrangements. It allows you to choose the specific items you want and need, and compare the prices offered by several funeral providers. It also spares your survivors the stress of making these decisions under the pressure of time and strong emotions.

Because there can be a only a few days between death and burial or cremation,  many find themselves being rushed to make decisions.  Even when we advise families to decide with care and not being rushed into choices, some many times have regrets sometimes years from now. One of the highest standards we set for firm is to give the best advice possible.

Questions & Answers

In all aspects of life we continually have questions.  If there is any part of our lives that raises more questions it is the prospect of death and dying.  Questions are raised at the sudden loss of someone special.  Questions about what to do at that time can just overwhelm you.

In our website we have included information on grief, children, veteran’s information, social security, and funeral planning.  In the section we have a list of different topics concerning funerals, cremations, and alternative services.  Any different questions that you may have please contact us.  Any questions that you need to understand apart from the answer given please contact us.  We will be adding other questions and answers as time goes on and I am sure many will come from you.  I have been told many times that there are no unimportant questions.  Remember that we also learn from these questions and we will use what we learn to help our friends and other families in need.

I went to the We Remember celebration that Sid has every year.  We light a candle for the Love ones we have lost and we get to talk to others and express our feeling about the loss we all feel. He has delicious food catered in and I always enjoy the get together we all share. Thank you, Sid
