Betty Ruth Dyer Goff, 84, of Martin, Ga, passed away Wednesday morning, February 5, 2020 at St Mary's Hospital in Athens, GA.
Born July 30, 1935, she was the daughter of A B and Bertie Mae Richardson Dyer. She was the widow of the late Marion Francis "Bud" Goff, mother of the late Charles Goff, Patricia Garner, and Bud Goff Jr.; was the great-grandmother of the late Emily Goff, Jaynie Strong, and Evelyn Ellis; and was the sister of the late Ed Dyer. She was a homemaker and had worked as a nurse at Hart County Hospital. She was a member of the Church of God Union Assembly in Lavonia.
Survivors include: one son, Ricky Goff, Martin, daughters, Ann Carter and Susan Goff of Athens, and Debra Sudduth, and Michelle Bratton, of Toccoa ; 15 grandchildren, 30 great-grandchildren; brothers Tom Dyer and Steve Dyer, both of Dalton; sister-in-law Marie Dyer, Calhoun, Ga.
Services will be 3pm Saturday at the B D Ginn Memorial Chapel with Rev. Kaylon Hughes. Interment will be in the Lavonia City Cemetery.
The body is at the Ginn Funeral Home. The families are at their respective homes. The will receive friends from 1pm until 3pm Saturday at the funeral home prior to the service.
