William York "Billy" Dove, 87, of Red Hill, passed away Monday evening, September 28, 2020, at his home.
Born March 16, 1933, in Royston, GA, he was the son of the late Harley York and Mattie Lou Smith. He was the father of the late Lisa Faye Dove. He was a retired woodworker with Toccoa Casket Company and then Vermont American. He was a member of the Broad River Baptist Church.
He is survived by his wife, Catherine Louise Bennett Dove; daughters and son-in-law, Libby and Franklin Downs, Carnesville, and Debbie Smith, Carnesville; 6 grandchildren, Chris, Alicia, Renee, Gary, Kim, and Jessica; 11 great-grandchildren.
A celebration of life will be held Sunday afternoon, October 4, 2020, at 3pm, at Broad River Baptist Church, with Rev. Leon Carson, and Rev. Brandon Crunkleton.
The family received friends from 6 until 8 Wednesday evening, September 30. 2020, at the funeral home.
