Brenda Faye Williamson Banks, 75, of Royston, passed away June 1, 2019, at the Piedmont Athens Medical Center, Athens, GA.

Born March 19, 1944, in Covington, GA, she was the daughter of the late Rev. Voil McGarity and Dellie Lee Powell Williamson.  She was the sister of the late Pat Burdette and Barbara Norman. She was a homemaker and had been a seamstress at Georgia Sportswear and Wright Manufacturing.  She was of the Baptist Faith.

Survivors include her husband Tommy Banks; son and daughter-in-law, Ken and Shirley Moore, Carnesville, and step-son Jason Banks, Texas; daughters and sons-in-law, Theresa and Paul Jordan, Carnesville, Bambie Banks, Hartwell, and step-daughter Sherry Lynn Cieslukowski, Maysville, GA; twelve grandchildren, Candy Jordan, Kasey Jordan-Davis, Kayla Jordan, Caitlin Jordan, Justin Hill, Tara Hatch, Miranda Harned, Chance Moore, Gabe Hudson, Abbie Martin, Raine Hiott, and Brandon Buffington; eleven great-grandchildren, Myles, Rhett, Lillith, Marceline, Elanor, Braison, Mary Bell, Westin, Winter, Laney, and Hayley; three sisters, Verna Ashworth, Bowman, Eula Myers, Lavonia, and Lila McKern, Canon.

Services will be Tuesday at 2pm at the Middle River Baptist Church with Rev Bill Thomas.  Internment will be in the church cemetery.

The body is at the Ginn Funeral Home, Carnesville.  The family is at the home of her daughter Theresa Jordan, and they will receive friends from 6 until 8pm Monday evening.   Condolences may be left at ginnfuneralhome.com.
