Coach Joe Roane was a great man enjoyed him as a teacher and friend .Will be missed God Bless
Rest in Peace Uncle Joe. I will always cherish the memories of my Summer visits in Carnesville. Eating Uncle Joe’s mouth watering cornbread, Working in Aunt JuJu’s ceramic shop, the camping trips, listening to Uncle Joe’s tall tales, the laughs and long conversations that we had, especially all the good advice & wisdom he passed along to me. He once said to me ” there are three things that no one can ever take away from you……. Your Faith in God, your name and your education”. So true. Hall, Jody and the entire family you are in my prayers. Love you all.
We are so very sorry to hear of the passing of Joe, he was a good friend, Rest In Peace Joe, till we meet again! To all the family, you all have our deepest sympathy……❤️
Coach Roane was the only teacher that spanked me at FCHS. Never stopped me from liking him. He had to tell everyone about him popping me with his paddle. He’s going to be missed.
Roane Famiy, please except my condolences on the passing of Mr. Joe. He was my teacher during my freshman year at FCHS. Again, my sympathy to you all.
Coach Roane was a marvelous teacher and a good man RIP
Joe ( Coach ) Roane was a great person and a great
friend. I remember when I work at Franklin county detention and coach would come and pick
up his trustees and take them to what details that
needed to be done. It’s hard cause I said I was going to see him but I didn’t. When I go to Pinnacle Bank I ask his daughter in law Mrs Dawn about him.I wanted him to know that he is a great person.
I really did appreciate him for all that he did for me and that I love him.
My Uncle JoeJoe was someone who helped shape who I am. We spent many happy times with him and Aunt JuJu in Carnesville. I am praying for my cousins, their children and grandchildren. He was, is and will always be one of the best. You were deeply loved by all of us I will hold you in my heart until we meet again.
Great teacher and befriended his students. We had great respect for him. However he still owed me a paddling with a paddle that i made in his shop between classes. He never got to use it on me. The memory of it has out lasted what the paddling would have. I still have the paddle to forever remind me if him. May he rest in peace. Great memories!!

The Coach was a good friend and mentor too me. My condolences to the family.
I met ‘Coach’ at Stephens County in the 8th grade. He was a hard football coach. We moved to FCHS the next year, and on the very first day of practice, I met ‘Coach’ again! I was thinking, can’t I get a break? But as I matured and started listening, I soon realized he had my best interest at heart. I came to appreciate his heart, his intentions of helping us grow, and his concern when we failed. Some do the job of coaching, but few earn the title of “Coach”. Rest In Peace Coach Roane
Joe, you were a great brother in law and friend to me for 30 some years. I still love you and your family and PRAYING for them.
May God rest your soul.
Joe Roane was a good man, a special man. He loved his family, his community and his church family.
Hall, Dawn, Jody, Melissa, Evan, Austin, Brittany, Heather, Will, Brady, Luke, Carter, Hayden and the three little one’s: Blakeley, Jamison, and Jason, just want you all to know how proud Joe was of each and everyone of you. He called each one of you by name and spoke highly of all you accomplishments. You are all exceptional! I have never seen such a large group of family bond together and be there to take care of Joe the way you all did.
Sue and Alex, Joe loved you so much and did not want any of you worrying about him, He hid how sick he was because he did not want you to worry. When I saw him five days before he went to Heaven, he told me at his beside he had really been sick the last two weeks prior to that day, however; he talked just like himself and he tried to be strong in front of Sue and Peyton that afternoon. He did not want Sue to know how sick he was, he did not want her to worry.
He told me about the Church family and the new things they were going to do and build, he was so excited about that. When Sue and I went to the Christmas Program at his church, he was so proud, it was so beautiful, and the Pastor and church family were so warm and welcoming, it really touched my heart and made the true meaning of Christmas special.
Thank you all for welcoming me into your family, I have greatly enjoyed all the family gatherings that I attended at Joe’s house over the past several years, you were all so much fun and full of love. I could feel it in the air. Thank you all for welcoming me and treating me like part of your extended family.
And thank you Joe Roane for the many lives you touched and the many blessings you gave to other’s thru all your accomplishments.
Thank you for being you! Thank you for your friendship! It’s been a pleasure!
Until we meet in Heaven again my friend, God Bless!
“Grace to you and peace from God our Father, and the Lord Jesus Christ. Blessed be the God and Father of our Lord Jesus Christ. The Father of mercies and God of all comfort. Who comforts us in all our tribulation, that we may be able to comfort those who are in any trouble, with the comfort with which we ourselves are comforted by God. ”
