John Daniel Hallford, 72, of Lavonia, passed away Wednesday evening, March 6, 2019 at the Landmark Hospital in Athens GA.
Born March 22, 1946, in Stephens County, he was the son of the late Henry Garland Hallford and the late Mary Turpin Hallford Hill. He was the husband of the late Kay Dawn Packey Hallford and brother of the late Jerry Hallford. He was a truck driver. He served in the U S Navy during the Vietnam War.
Survivors include daughter and son-in-law Hope and Tim Little of Jefferson; son and daughter-in-law, Dave and Wendy Hallford, Jefferson; three grandchildren, Kayci, Brandon,and Lindsey; two brothers and sister-in-laws, Jack and Judy Hallford, Martin, GA, and Perry and Kathy Hallford, Lavonia; sister and brother-in-law, Elaine and Dean Ward, Red Hill; stepchildren, Michael and Ruth Hunsberger, Shawna and Mitch Uptain, and Stacy and David Stephenson; nine step-grandchildren, and eight step-great-grandchildren.
Memorial services with military honors will be March 30,2019 at the Alabama National Cemetery in Montevallo, Alabama.
