Lucille Scarborough Forrester, 95, of Carnesville, passed away at the Silverleaf Memory Care Center in Athens, GA.

Born January 9, 1925, in Madison County, she was the daughter of the late James Oscar and Mary Lou Moon Scarborough. She was the widow of the late Gordon D. “Red” Forrester and mother of the late Roger E. Patterson. She was the sister of the late Walter Scarborough, O B Scarborough, Blondine Settlemyre, Eldridge Scarborough, Francis Forester, Jimmy Scarborough, Sarah Lou Scarboro, Ida Sue Scarboro, and Mary Jane Beard.   She had retired from Coats and Clark in Toccoa.  She was famous for cooking cakes, and admired from having to put up with her husband Red for 50 years. She was a member of Peniel Pentecostal Church.

Survivors include granddaughters Shari Schaefer, and Shayla Nicole Patterson; great-grandchildren Corwin Schaefer, Kiandra Shaefer,  and Kobe Windgate; sister, Evangeline Lowery Calloway; several nieces and nephews.

The family will celebrate her life at a later date. Interment will be in Peniel Pentecostal Holiness Church cemetery.
