Michael Hart

Michael Arlen Hart,

age  82, of  Brown Road, Carnesville, GA, passed away  July 10, 2019 at his residence.

Son of the late Mr. George Hart, Sr.  and Mrs. Louise Hart , he was born October 31, 1936 in Franklin  County, Georgia, and lived all his life in Carnesville. In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by his daughter Cindy Poole and his brothers George W. Hart, Jr. , William O. Hart, and also, his sister Betty Joe McWilliams and brother in law Richard McWilliams.  He was a retired textile worker from Owens Corning in Anderson, SC.    Mr. Hart attended school in Franklin County.  Michael attended New Bethel Baptist Church where he enjoyed playing his guitar, singing, and was part of the music ministry.  He was also a huge fan of the Atlanta Braves.

Survivors include his wife of 51 years,  Betty Parker Hart of the home.  Sons: Arlen Hart and wife Angie Higgins Hart, daughter Rhonda Hart of Carnesville, sons and daughter-in-law Wesley Hart  of Toccoa,  and Terry & Kimberly Bond of Nashville, Tennessee, and son in law Wendall Poole of  Deatsville, Alabama. Sister Nancy Hart of Commerce, Ruth Read and bother- in law Ron Read of Villa Park, California, Peggy Cothran and brother in law William Cothran of Royston,  and  Arlene Gilley and  brother in law Tom Gilley of Tyler, Texas. He has 11 grandchildren and 12 great-grandchildren.  Michael has multiple nieces & nephews.

Services Saturday afternoon at 3pm at B D Ginn Memorial Chapel with the Rev. Joey Stewart and Rev. Tommy Childress officiating.  The following will serve as pallbearers, Terry Bond, Wayne Hart, William Cothran, Jeffrey Beck, Garrett Hart, and Gary Higgins.  Honorary Members: Ricky Culpepper, Rod Farrow, Trill King, Jan Nethery, and Karen Stryker. Interment will be at Franklin Memorial Gardens.
