Terry Abernathy

Terry Allen Clem Abernathy, 65, of the Middle River Community, passed away Wednesday afternoon, April 29, 2020 at his home.

He was born April 25, 1955, and was the son of the late Matthew and Irene Abernathy.  He was the husband of the late Diane Baston Abernathy, and step-father of the late Jimmy Thomas.  He was a member of Riverside Baptist Church.

He was survived by ; three  step-sons, Willie Thomas, Carnesville, Nicky James, Elberton, and Travis James, member of U S Navy aboard USS Harry Truman; step-daughter Tammy Wilson, Carnesville, GA; grandchildren, Michael & Hope Wilson,  Cody & Cassidy James, Kaytlin & Will Ballenger, Emily Thomas, Amy Thomas, and Willie Thomas Jr; tow brothers and sisters-in law, Chuck & Connie Abernathy, Canton, and James & Rieda Abernathy, Cartersville, GA.

Graveside services will be Saturday morning at 11am at the Riverside Baptist Church cemetery with Rev. Paul Jameson and Rev Bobby Baston. In lieu of flowers memorials may be made to Riverside Baptist Church.
