
Tony D. Reese, 69 of Canon, Georgia, passed away Saturday evening, April 16, 2022, at Anderson Memorial Hospital, surrounded by his family.
Born October 5, 1952, in Anderson, South Carolina, he was the son of the late Dorsey Lee and Mary Ruth Parten Reese. He was a member of the Franklin County High School class of 1970, and was retired from the State of Georgia Department of Agriculture. He was a member of Royston Masonic Lodge #52, Royal Arch Council of Lavonia, and Commandry of Toccoa. He was a member of Gaines Chapel Methodist Church.
Survivors include; his wife Karen Hanley Reese; children Erin, Charles, and Morgan; grandchildren, Charlie, Lane, Carleigh, Calgary, Connor, and Haston; and two sons-in-law;
Services will be 11am Wednesday morning, at B D Ginn Memorial Chapel with Rev. Bob Claytor. Burial with Masonic Rites will be at the Gaines Chapel Church Cemetery.
The body is at the Ginn Funeral Home. The family is at the home. They will receive friends from 6 until 8pm Tuesday evening at the funeral home.

I have so many lovely memories of Tony as a child, I am honored to have called him my Godfather. My thoughts are with Karen and family during this time, he was a much loved man. Dad always speaks of him, and all the memories created, with such fondness.
