Barbara Milford Smith Andrews, 77, of the Red Hill Community, passed away Sunday morning, June 2, 2019 at the Piedmont Athens Medical Center.
Born February 3, 1942, in Toccoa, she was the daughter of the late Clarence A. and Gladys South Milford. She was the wife of the late Doyle Benjamin “Butch” Smith and the late Thomas William “Tommy” Andrews. She was the sister of the late Esco Milford, James M. Milford, and C. Patrick Milford. She was a retired bookkeeper with the Franklin County Board of Education. She was a member of the Allen’s United Methodist Church.
She is survived by three daughters and sons-in-law, Pam and Richard Walley, Comer, Lisa and Allison Alexander, Sandy Cross, and Dannah and Gene Hagerty, Jefferson; Eight grandchildren, Brianna, Jenna, Callie, Sara, Elise, Sophia, Dallas, and Mackenzie; five great-grandchildren, Tybee, Hanna, Penelope, Julius, and Elijah; one sister, Mary Jo Whitworth, Carnesville; two brothers and sister-in-law, Dr. Dean Milford, Carrolton, and Don and Patsy Akin Milford, Carnesville.
Services will be Wednesday at 11am at Allens United Methodist Church with Rev. Paul Garner and Rev. Kyle Caudell. Interment will be in the church cemetery.
The body is at Ginn Funeral Home. The family will receive friends from 6 until 8pm Tuesday evening at the funeral home. Condolences may be left at ginnfuneralhome.com.
