Bernard McNease

Bernard Horace McNease, 85, of Carnesville, passed away Saturday afternoon, February 4, 2023, at his home.

Born April 4, 1937, in Laurel Mississippi, he was the son of the late Vernon McNease, Ruby Kitchens McNease Lewis. He was the husband of the late Lois Christine Thomas McNease. He was preceded in death by his stepfather Frank Lewis; and special aunt and uncle, Bonnie and Quincy Newsome.  He was a veteran of the U S Army.  He was a supervisor with Lavonia and Athens-Clarke County Water Treatment Plant. He was a member of Liberty Baptist Church.

Survivors include, daughters Sherri (Curtis) Lockhart, Carnesville, and Amy McNease, Elberton; grandchildren, Amber & Garrett, Jonathan, Ava, and McKinzie; great-grandchild, Paisley Ann; and brother Delbert McNease.

Internment with military honors will be at White Chapel Memorial Gardens in Duluth, Georgia.
