Betty Sue Winkle Williams, 87, of the Prospect Community, passed away Sunday morning, January 15, 2023, at The Oaks of Baldwin.
Born November 17, 1935, in Crabapple, Georgia, she was the daughter of the late B J And Looney Burdette Winkle. She was the widow of the late Arlin Williams, mother of the late Tony Williams, and grandmother of the late Jeremiah Nix. She was a member of a family of twelve brothers and sisters. She was a retired realtor with Duggar Realty and was a poultry farmer. She was a member of Bethesda Fellowship Church of Cornelia.
Survivors include her children, Tina (Wesley) Spier, of Lilburn, Charlene Williams, of Toccoa, Arlene ( H L) Nix, of Toccoa, Michael (Jodie) Williams, of Toccoa, and Glenn Pitts, Calhoun; five grandchildren, thirteen great-grandchildren, ten great-great-grandchildren; sister, Janie Vance, Calhoun, GA.
Services will be 11am Wednesday morning at New Hope Baptist Church of Toccoa, with Rev. David Sosbee. Internment will be at Stephens Memorial Gardens.
The body is at Ginn Funeral Home, Carnesville, and will be placed in the church at 10am Wednesday morning. The family is at their respective homes. They will receive friends from 3pm until 7pm Tuesday at the funeral home. Condolences may be left at ginnfuneralhome.com.
