Billie Jean Manley Thompson, 90, of the Red Hill community, passed away Wednesday evening, January 1, 2020, at the Stephens County Hospital.
Born May 27, 1929, she was the daughter of the late Jessie Harrison and Annie Laura Ussery Manley. She was the wife of the late James Wiley Thompson of 64 years. She was the sister of the late Freeman Manley, Nelson Manley, Mildred Manley, Edna Hall, and Ray Manley. She was a home maker and a member of Broad River Baptist Church.
She is survived by three sons, Rudy Thompson, Douglasville, Stephen Thompson, Gainesville; and Tim & Cheryl Thompson, Jackson, SC; three daughters, Kathryn & Gary Pulliam, Clarkesville, Ga; Marie Whiten, Toccoa, and Susan Meeks, of Carnesville, Ga; Two siblings Ruth Lawson of Midlothian TX ad Roy Manley Gray GA. Grandchildren Angie, Christy, Kelly, Jay, Denese, Jason, Matt, Laura, Alison, Luke, Beth, Haylee, Justin, Timothy and Tyler Great-grandchildren Chandler, Sydney, Morgan, Jaycee, Kensey, Riley, Faith, Jarrett, Ethan, Conner, Mason, Drae, Asher, Isabella, Hudson, Mason, David, Jackson, Houston, Wesley and Abby; Great-great-chandchildren, Judd, Branch, Brodie, Elam, Avery, Jameson, and Brady.
Services will be 3:00pm at Broad River Baptist Church on January 4
th
2020, with Rev. Brandon Crunkleton, Rev. Alan Cole and Jim McBath. Burial will be in the church cemetery.
The body is at Ginn Funeral Home, Carnesville. The family is at the home of her daughter Marie Whiten. They will receive friends Friday evening 6:00pm – 8:00pm at Ginn Funeral Home.
