Bobbie Jean Segars Phillips, 81, of Lavonia, passed away Monday morning at the Piedmont Athens Medical Center, in Athens GA.
Born June 25, 1939, she was the daughter of the late William Jefferson “Will” and Modree Massey Segars. She was the sister of the late Jody Segars, Ralph Segars, Bruce Segars, Mary Lee Gaines, Mildred Crump, Doree Ivester, and Flora May Cheek. Retired, she had been a seamstress with Georgia Sportswear and a manager of Waffle House. She was a member of Fairview Baptist Church.
Survivors include; sons, Denver Kenneth Phillips and Randall Phillips both of Lavonia; daughter, Ramona Blankenship, Lavonia; grandchildren, Jefferson Tyler Blankenship, and Joie Lane Monk; sisters Virginia Brownlee, Commerce, and Willie Sue Pulliam, Toccoa.
Services will be 4pm Wednesday afternoon at the B D Ginn Memorial Chapel with Rev. Tommy Childress. Interment will be at Line Baptist Church, Alto, GA.
