Bruce Sheriff, 65, of Lavonia, passed away Monday afternoon, October 22, 2018, at the Piedmont Hospital of Atlanta.
Born April 28, 1953, he was the son of the late Robert Hayden and Mildred Inez Higginbotham Sheriff. He was the bother of the late Rudene Burdette, Bobby Sheriff, Johnny Sheriff, Mae Blakely, Paul Sheriff, Dewey Sheriff, Barbara Neese, and Dwight Sheriff. He was a carpenter and was of the Baptist faith.
Survivors include his son, Daniel Lee Sheriff, Oxford, GA; daughter and son-in-law, Beth and Dwayne Cox, Social Circle, GA; sister, Joyce Henderson, Carnesville; grandchildren, Dawson, Zeb, Areia, and Jordan.
Services will be 2pm Thursday at the Ginn Funeral Home, with Rev. Jerome Hill. Interment will be in the Tom’s Creek Baptist Church Cemetery.
The body is at the Ginn Funeral Home. Then families are at their respective homes. The family will receive friends from 6 until 8pm Wednesday evening. Condolences may be left at ginnfuneralhome.com.
