Carey Parker

Carey Weldon Parker, 71, passed away on October 1, 2024, in Anderson, SC.

 Carey was born on August 21st, 1953, to James "Jim" Parker  of Carnesville, GA and Bonnie Stonecypher Hudgens of Lavonia, GA. Carey retired from the State of Georgia as an officer with the Georgia Motor Compliance Department for 32 years. He also served with the Franklin County Sheriff's office part time and Franklin County Clerk of Court as a parttime bailiff for 10 years. Carey also served his country in the National Guard from 1971 till 1977.

 Carey is survived by his wife Susan Parker of Lavonia, daughter Angela Parker and spouse Greg Sanders, of Lavonia. And two grandchildren Zeb Sheriff and Rylie Sanders of Lavonia. Siblings Pamela Smith of Anderson, SC and Ricky Hudgens of Anderson, SC.

 Carey is preceded in death by his parents Jim Parker & Bonnie Stonecypher Hudgens.

 A celebration of life service for Carey Parker will be held on Friday, at 3:00 PM at Ginn Funeral Home with Pastor Leon Carson. In lieu of flowers the family ask that memorial donations be made in Carey's honor to Fairview Baptist Church 9922 Highway 59 Lavonia, Ga 30553.
