Christopher Pope

Christopher Scott Pope II, age 36, passed away on January 9, 2025 in Champain, IL.

Christopher was born in Lithia Springs, GA to Christopher Scott Pope and Sonya Cole Pope Strickland. Christopher was a graduate of North Cobb High School and Kennesaw State University. He was a avid player of both pickle ball, football and basket ball and enjoyed collecting special edition monopoly games.  

He was preceded in death by his maternal grandmother Darlene Briscoe Cole and paternal grandmother Elizabeth Kite Pope. Great Grandparents Fletcher & Gussie Stephens Briscoe and T.A. "Ira" & Lelia Davison Cole. 

He is survived by his mother Sonya Cole Pope Strickland of Carnesville, father Christopher Scott Pope of Jasper. Maternal grandfather Tate "Boompa" & Margaret Cole of Carnesville. Paternal grandfather Billy & Debbie Pope of Jasper.  Along with several aunts, uncles and cousins. 

Graveside memorial services will be held March 1st at Middle River Baptist Church Cemetery at 2:00pm with Rev. Philip Garrett, Rev. Larry Davison and Rev. Rob Hill conducting the services.
