Clarence William Young, 86, of the Red Hill community, passed away Sunday morning, February 25, 2018, at the Clary Center in Toccoa, GA.
Born June 3, 1931, in Greensburg, Pennsylvania, he was the son of the late Clarence Williams and Ruth Chalfant Young Sr. He was the husband of the late Vera Gildersleeve Young. He was an administrator and manager for non-profit organizations, among them were The Salvation Army, Easter Seals, and the March of Dimes. He served in the U S Air Force, and was a member of the Allens United Methodist Church.
He is survived by two sons and daughter-in-law: Bradley Young, Cartersville, GA; and Jeffrey & Jennifer Young, Flowery Branch, GA; one daughter and son-in-law: Melanie & Joe Allen, Martin, GA; Four Grandchildren: Robert Allen, Stephanie Allen, Jackson Young, and Jaelynn Young; brother of Ruth Noble, Greensburg, Pennsylvania.
Services will be held Wednesday morning February 28, 2018, at 11am at the Allens United Methodist Church with Joe Greene, followed by military honors. Interment will be in the Allens Untied Methodist Church Cemetery. Condolences may be left at ginnfuneralhome.com
