Coy Elrod

Coy Lamar Elrod, 66, of Bowman, passed away Monday morning October 15, 2018, at his home.

Born February 21, 1952, in Stephens County, he was the son of the late Joe Felton “Fellie” and Hattie Mae South Elrod. He was the brother of the late Kenneth Elrod and Billy Joe Elrod. He was a 1971 graduate of Franklin County High School. He was a well driller and had retired from Ace Well Drilling. He was a member of the Hunter’s Creek Baptist Church.

Survivors include his wife Jerri Human Elrod; son and daughter-in-law, Jeff & Pat Elrod, Bowman; daughters and sons-in-law, Renee & Robbie Usher, Lancaster, SC, Kelly & Lance Johnson, Elberton, and Corbin &Jay Anderson, Elberton; five grandchildren, Shelby, Kristen, Summer, Lawton, and Silas; great-grandchild, Kinsley; brother and sister-in-law, Marshall & Bobbie Elrod, Carnesville.

Memorial services will be Thursday evening at 7pm at the B D Ginn Memorial Chapel, with Jay Anderson and Rev. Zach Hawks. The family will receive friends from 5 until 7pm at the funeral home prior to the service.
