Deverine Clement Floyd, 90, of Carnesville, passed away Sunday morning, March 29, 2020 at her home.
Born February 9, 1930 in Lavonia, Georgia, she was the daughter of the late Albert Preston and Tensie Pruitt Clement. She was the widow of the late Hugh Clayton Floyd. She was the sister of the late Georgia Darrell Andrews, Janie Ranson, Ruth Bryan, Cynthia Smith, Tensie Holston, Preston Jones, Imodene Barkheimer, Lucille Clement, Jeanette Clement, and Joel and Joseph Clement.
Born and raised in Lavonia, she returned here in 1977 and was a mail Clerk and the Carnesville Post Office for 21 years before retirement. She loved her two cats, "Momma" and "Rascal" and spending winters with her daughter Tina in Central Florida. She loved the Eustis Florida area and love to go walking, visiting, and watching people fish around Lake Eustis. She was a member of the First Baptist Church in Lavonia.
She was survived by two sons and daughters-in-law, Michael & Kim Floyd, Lavonia, and Doug & Gayle Floyd, Carnesville; daughter Tina Floyd Ayers, Eustis, Fl; grandchildren, Clay Ayers, Matthew Ayers, Justin Ayers, McKenzie Smith, Madison Floyd, Maci Floyd, Adam Floyd and Amber Hiner; great-grandchildren, Abby Ayers, Jordan Ayers, Paxton Ayers, Bella Ayers, Mavis Smith, Clarke Smith, Anna Grace Floyd, and Madison Moran.
There will be no public visitation or service. We encourage you and the family thanks you for sending condolences online below. Her interment will be at Osceola Memory Gardens in Kessimmee.
