Doyie Frances Young Parten, 78, of the Hunter’s Creek Community passed away Friday morning, April 26, 2019 at her home.
Born November 2, 1940, she was the daughter of the late Esther Albert and Lillie Mae Bentley Young. She was the sister and sister-in-law of the late Albert and Elizabeth Young and Jeanette and Warren Crump. She was a seamstress and had worked for Georgia Sportswear and Oxford Industries. She was a member of the Hunters Creek Baptist Church.
Survivors include her husband, John Parten; son and daughter-in-law, David and Melody Parten, Lavonia; daughters and sons-in-law, Debbie and Samuel Crump, Carnesville, and Kellie and Wayne Chastain, Martin, Ga six grandchildren, Chad & Kristy Crump, Justin & Erica Parten, Drake Chastain, Kayla Chastain, Tyler Chastain, and Brady Parten; four great-great-grandchildren, Kaylynn Crump, Karley Crump, Colton Crump, and Colin Crump; brother and sister-in-law, Fred and Cheryl Young, Flowery Branch, GA; numerous nieces and nephews.
Services will be Sunday afternoon at 3pm at the Hunters Creek Baptist Church with the Rev. Ben Huff, Rev. Joey Stewart, and Rev. Craig Brown. Interment with committal by Rev. Fred Young will be in the church cemetery.
The body is at the Ginn Funeral Home. The family is at the home. They will receive friends from 6 until 8pm Saturday evening at the funeral home
