Hazel Reynolds McDuffie, 93, of the Plainview community of Carnesville, passed away Saturday morning, September 15, 2018, at the home of her daughter, Marie Whitworth Perry.
Born November 18, 1924, in Carnesville, she was the daughter of Willard Murphy Reynolds. She was raised in the home of her grandparents William “Bill” and Fannie Andrews Murphy. She was the widow of the late Leland S. McDuffie. She had retired from Coats and Clark after 38 years of service. She was a member of the New Bethel Baptist Church.
She is survived by her daughter and son-in-law, Marie Whitworth Perry and Talmadge Perry; a brother James Reynolds, Carnesville; a niece Janice Flowers, and nephew, Randy Reynolds; and her very special friends, Louise Kesler, Katherine McFarlin, and James Slaton.
Services will be Monday at 2pm at the B D Ginn Memorial Chapel with the Rev. Mike Smith, and Rev. David Sharpton. Interment will be in the New Bethel Baptist Church Cemetery.
The body is at the Ginn Funeral Home. The family will receive friends from 2 until 4pm and 6 until 8pm Sunday.
