Jerry Thomas “Half” Childs, 73, of Toccoa, passed away Tuesday, March 21, 2023 in Jackson County.

Born March 18, 1950, in Warner Robbins, Georgia, he was the son of the late John Northrop Sr, and Allie Lee Wooten Childs. He was one of ten brother and sisters. He worked for Peach State Auto as a delivery driver. And was a member of Clarks Creek Baptist Church.  

Survivors include his wife Nancy Karen Carlan Childs of Toccoa; two children Kimberly Childs Levitt of Martin, and Jeremy Royce Childs of Toccoa. Siblings: John Northrop Childs Jr, Douglas Edward Childs, Brenda Childs Segars, James & Joan Childs and Marry Alice Childs. And two Grandchildren.

Services will be held at Ginn Funeral home on Saturday March 25, 2023 at 11:00am with Rev. Alan Cole and Rev. Tommy Childress officiating. Interment will be held at Clarks Creek Baptist Church cemetery.

Mr. Jerry Childs is at Ginn Funeral home. The Family is at the home. They will receive friends from 6 to 8pm on Friday March 24, 2023 at Ginn Funeral home. Condolences may be left for the family at ginnfuneralhome.com
