Jerry Swain Crunkleton, 74, of the Red Hill Community, passed away Thursday evening March 5, 2020, at the Piedmont Athens Regional Medical Center.
Born March 13, 1945, he was the son of the late Herman and Myrtie Estelle LeCroy Crunkleton. He was the brother of the late Eris Childs, Charlie Crunkleton, Johnny Crunkleton, Dan Crunkleton, Doug Crunkleton, Billy Crunkleton, Sam Crunkleton, Dot Blanton, Undine Hilley, Peggy Milford, and Phil Crunkleton. He was retired from the Stephens County Hospital. He was a member of the Hunter’s Creek Baptist Church.
He was survived by his wife, Nancy Crump Crunkleton; son and daughter-in-law, Marcus and Jan Crunkleton, Carnesville; daughter and son-in-law, Janet and Joey Stewart, Carnesville; four grandchildren, Emily, Ethan, Michael, and Allison; five great-grandchildren, Ansley, Allyannah, Jayden, Rylan, and Kinsley; sister Jeanette McFarlin, Carnesville.
Services will be 3pm Sunday afternoon at the Hunter’s Creek Baptist Church with Rev. Ben Huff, Marcus Crunkleton, and Rev. Joey Stewart. Interment will be in the church cemetery.
The body is at the Ginn Funeral Home. The family is at their homes. They will receive friends from 6 until 8pm Saturday evening at the funeral home. Condolences may be left for the family at ginnfuneralhome.com.
