Johnny Bert Fitzpatrick, 72, of the Bold Spring Community, passed away early Sunday Morning, July 2, 2017, at his home.
Born September 22, 1944, in Ila Georgia, he was the son of the late Bert and Eddie Ophelia David Fitzpatrick. He was the brother of the late Henry Fitzpatrick, Sue Edins, and Bonnie Wilson. He was the son-in-law of the late Rudolph Patterson. He was a retired automobile mechanic with Heyward Allen Motor Company of Athens, GA. He was an avid deer hunter and was a member of the Hubbard Hunting Club.
Survivors include his wife, Debbie Patterson Fitzpatrick; one son, John Fitzpatrick, of Ila; three daughters Tina Fitzpatrick, of Ila, Kim Hyde, of Carnesville, and Christie Bradley, of Mt Airy, GA; grandchildren, B J Burton, Heather Johnson, Hunter Hyde, and Ansleigh Bradley; one brother, Charles Fitzpatrick, and one sister Ophelia McDaniel, both of Commerce; a number of nieces and nephews; mother-in-law, Bonnie Sue Whitsel Patterson; a number of sisters-in-law and brothers-in-law.
Services will be Tuesday afternoon at 2pm at the B D Ginn Memorial Chapel with the Rev. Eldon Massey and Rev. Paul Creason, officiating. Burial will in the Carey Memorial Gardens, in Sandy Cross.
The body is at the Ginn Funeral Home. The family is at the home of Kim and Kenneth Hyde, 976 Bald Eagle Road, Bold Spring Community. They will receive friends from 6 until 8pm Monday evening at the Ginn Funeral Home.
