Karen Reese

Karen Lee Hanley Reese, 69 of Canon Georgia Passed away Tuesday afternoon, April 8th , 2025 at home, surrounded by her loving family.

A daughter of the late CL and Nettie Hanley, she was born June 28th , 1955 in Maysville, Georgia.

Karen lived most of her life in Canon , Georgia and was the widow of the late Tony D. Reese. They were married 49 years. She was a devoted wife, mother and grandmother. She was a member of Gaines Chapel United Methodist Church in Canon, Georgia.

Karen was a nurse for many years. Working in OBGYN and helping bring many babies into this world before switching to emergency medicine later in her career.

She is preceded in death by her late husband Tony D. Reese, her parents CL and Nettie Hanley and her sister Rachel Jordan.

She is survived by her three children Erin, Chuck and Morgan of Royston, Ga., two son in laws, one daughter in law and 8 grandchildren, and brother Richard.

Funeral Services will be arranged at a later date and time.
