Lee Johnson Williams, 90, of Carnesville, passed away Friday afternoon July 20, 2018, at his home.

Born January 5, 1928, in Carnesville, he was the son of the late William Wesley and Ella Dickson Williams.  He was the brother of the late Tom Henry Williams, L.B. Williams, Horace Williams, Sam Williams, Frances Rampley, Ruby Crump, Dan Williams, Carter Williams, and Marvin Williams. He was a  served in the U S Army.  He was a farmer and operator of Williams Welding Shop.  He was a Mason and member of the Franklin County Farm Bureau.  He was a member and past deacon of the Cross Roads Baptist Church.

Survivors include his wife, Van Owens Williams; sister Tootsie Andrews,  numerous nieces, nephews, great-nieces and great-nephews; sister-in-laws, Mary Williams, Alberta Santmyres, Ruth Owens, and Jean Owens.

Services will  4pm  Sunday at Cross Roads Baptist Church with Rev. Tommy Cleveland and Rev. Tommy Childress.  Pallbearers will be Allen Andrews, Jeremy Andrews, Brad Gibson, Ashley Moore, Greg Moore, Tyler Hill, Donald Crump, Jim Crump, Kenneth Williams, Kenny Hill and Eddie Ragsdale.  Committal with Rev. Bobby Jones and Military Honors will be in the church cemetery.

The body is at the Ginn Funeral Home, Carnesville. The families are at their respective homes. The family will receive friends from 2 until 4pm Sunday afternoon at the Cross Roads Baptist Church prior to the service.  In lieu of flowers, the family wishes memorials be made to the Cross Roads Baptist Church, 16144 GA Hwy 59, Carnesville, Georgia 30521.
