Linda Banks Payne, passed away Friday evening, February 12, 2021, at Santa Rosa Beach, Florida.
Born March 24, 1944, in Franklin County, she was the daughter of the late Hugh Dorsey and Sarah Sue Bryant Banks. She was the widow of the late Blanton Payne and sister of the late Roger Banks. She was a member and Senior Class President of the Franklin County High School Class of 1962 She was retired from the Franklin County Board of Education and had served as Secretary of the Board of Directors of the Stephens-Franklin Federal Credit Union. She had worked in the office of Franklin County Tax commisioner and was an award winning artist and painter. She was a member of Cross Roads Baptist Church.
Survivors include her sons and daughter-in-law Shannon William and Kristi Mize Payne, Santa Rosa Beach, Florida, and Blanton Heath Payne; Carnesville; grandchildren: Richard Myles Payne, Kennesaw, Georgia; Tyler and Lydia Chastain, Anderson, South Carolina; and Sophie Ella Payne and Sullivan Oliver Payne, Santa Rosa Beach, Florida; sisters-in-law Betty LeCroy and Carolyn McCall, both of Carnesville.
Graveside Services will held Friday afternoon at 2pm, February 26, 2021 at Cross Roads Baptist Church Cemetery with Rev.Bobby Jones. Condolences may be left for the family at ginnfuneralhome.com. Memorials in her memory may be made to Cross Roads Baptist Church cemetery Fund, 16144 GA Hwy 59, Carnesville, GA 30521.
