Marilyn Pruitt Walker, 74, of the Plainview community of Franklin County, passed away Thursday morning, November 2, 2017, at the Athens Regional Medical Center, Athens, GA.
Born September 9, 1943, in Stephens County, she was the daughter of the late Dewey Dorsey and Juanita Mary Cash Pruitt. She was the mother of the late Dewey Olin Walker and sister of the late Maylon Pruitt. She had worked for many years for Dr. Joseph Griffith. She was a member of the Nails Creek Baptist Church.
Survivors include her husband, Olin Eaks Walker; son, Maylon Eaks Walker, Stone Mountain, Ga; sister, Connie Pruitt Shockley, Carnesville; and two special caregivers, Jeannie Jackson and Keith Seagraves.
Services will be 2pm Saturday at the Nails Creek Baptist with the Rev. Joey Stewart and Rev. Ray Black. Interment will be in the church cemetery.
The body is at the Ginn Funeral Home. The family is at the home. The will receive friends from 6 until 8pm Friday evening at the funeral home. Condolences may be left at ginnfuneralhome.com.
