Mary Nell Allen

Mary Nell Toney Allen, 97, of Woodstock, Ga  passed away Monday morning, December 26, 2022, at the Brickmont Assisted Living Center in Woodstock, GA.

She was the daughter of the late Claude M. and Annie Marie Oliver Toney. She was first married to the late Gaines Franklin Rhodes and then to the late Samuel Joseph Allen. She was the sister of the late John Toney, and aunt of the late Joe Toney. She was a longtime resident of Miami and Coral Gables, Florida. She was an administrator and board member of Associated Grocers of Florida Inc. She was a member of the Chopin Society of Miami and Officer of the Music Club of Coral Gables. She was an Elder of the Presbyterian Church of Coral Gables.

Survivors include, son and daughter-in-law, Franklin and Karen Rhodes, Roswell; daughter,  Carolyn Stevenson,  Charleston, SC; seven grandchildren, James, Suzanne, Jessica, Mareika, Holly, Virginia, and Margaret; five great-grandchildren, Ella, Addie, Harper, Hadley, and Bianca.

Services will be 2pm Friday afternoon at Cross Roads Baptist Church, with Rev Matt Stacey.  Interment will be in church cemetery.

The family will receive friends from 12 noon until 2pm Friday afternoon at the church prior to the service.
