Mary Jo Roberts

Mary Jo Roberts, of the Red Hill community, passed away Friday, November 3, 2017, at the Scepter Health and Rehab of Snellville, GA.

Born August 13, 1931, in Franklin County, she was the daughter of the late Manny Lee and Lollie Sue Taylor Bryant.  She was the widow of the late James Ralph Roberts.  She was the sister of the late Ruth Carroll, James Ralph "Boot" Bryant, Jessie Canady, Jewell Keller, Nelson Bryant, and Tom Bryant.  She worked for Carwood Manufacturing, was a homemaker and loved babysitting.  She was a member of the Broad River Baptist Church.

She is survived by two daughters and sons-in-laws, Judy and David Kirkland, Hiawassee, GA, and Rhonda and Dave Henkel, Denver, Co; a grandson Chey Kirkland; her last sister-in-law, Marcellene Bryant, Sandy Cross.

Services will be 11am Sunday morning at the B D Ginn Memorial Chapel with David Kirkland,  Dale Purcell, and Marie Whiten.  Interment will be in the Hopewell Presbyterian Church Cemetery.

The family will receive friends Sunday morning from 10am until the funeral hour. In lieu of flowers memorials may be made to the Broad River Baptist Church or to the Hopewell Presbyterian Church Cemetery Fund.  Condolences may be left at ginnfuneralhome.com
