Ozelle Thomas Pritchett, 91, of the Double Churches Community, passed away Sunday evening, March 4, 2018 at the home of her daughter.
Born August 10, 1926, she was the daughter of the late Claude C. and Lillie Payne Thomas. She was the widow of the late Jesse Pritchett; the mother of the late James Pritchett and Robert Lee Pritchett; and sister of the late Myrtie Lee Haney, May Bell Segars, Joan Segars, and Boyd, Hoyt, Van, Lester, Grady, Homer, Gomer, and Gilmer Thomas. She was a homemaker, an avid gardener and quilter, and devoted to her grandchildren. She was a member of the Indian Creek Baptist Church.
Survivors include her son Wendell Pritchett, Carnesville; her daughter and son-in-law, Sue and Junior Young, Carnesville; 8 grandchildren, 23 great-grandchildren, numerous great-great-grandchildren; and one sister, Lorene Perkins, Lavonia; her best friend, Joyce Boswell, and special caregivers, Christy Everett and Felicia Lewis.
Services will be 11am Tuesday morning at the Indian Creek Baptist Church with the Rev. Kenneth McEntire and Rev. Britt Ginn. Interment will in the church cemetery.
The body is at the Ginn Funeral Home and will be placed in the church at 10:30 Tuesday morning. The family is at the home. They will receive friends from 6 until 8pm Monday evening at the funeral home. Condolences may be left at ginnfuneralhome.com.
