Renee Harris, 69, of Lavonia, passed away February 14, 2022, at Sacred Heart Hospital.
Born April 4, 1952, in Atlanta, GA, she was the daughter of Bob and Dorothy Little Harris. She was the mother of the late Lara Rueshelle Knox and Brian Joseph Durham, and great-grandmother of the late, Amethyst Algaze. She was a retired corrections officer, and had worked at the Franklin County Detention Center and the Women’s Correctional Institute in Alto. She was a presbyterian.
Survivors include grandchildren, Lesly Nicole Durham, Whitney Lane Knox, Brian Joseph Durham, Jr, and Warren Alexander Knox; great-grandchild, Jasper Algaze; sisters, Melissa Greene, and Martha Harris.
Memorial services will be Saturday February 19, 2022, at 3pm at Allens United Methodist Church. The family asks that instead of flowers that memorials be made in her memory to Allens United Methodist Church Cemetery Fund, 15557 Hwy 106 North, Martin, Georgia 30557.
